Nous transitons par Natal, ville assez sympa mais Pipa nous attend... on met les voiles!

03/07/06 

Environ 2 heures de bus, nous arrivons à Pipa vers 18h, lumières tamisées dans les rues par des caches en osier, les rues pavées, nous marchons, l'objectif : "Trouver une Pousada''. Georges, (type surfer) nous aborde dans sa Clio à peine assez grande pour les planches qu'il transporte. L'habitude des "Gringos" il nous parle en anglais : "You are looking for a Pousada? I have one in front of the beach."

Nous y arrivons, le top! Auberge en bois, il n'est pas la mais Elias nous fait visiter avant de negocier le prix. Un peu cher au départ on lui demande si il a beaucoup de clients, lol il nous apprend qu'il est lui même client... Nego bouclée avec l'arrivée de Georges, on pose les sacs dans ce qui est finalement une auberge. Paul (anglais) et Pimba jouent aux échecs. Nous descendons, 2 caipirinhas nous attendent. Ah oui! a cette okaz nous apprenons le soir même la préparation, donc le lendemain c'est direction supermarché : cachaça, citron, sucre et glaçons.

Au lit! "la première verte brésilienne" nous a retourné mais superbe boucane.

Le jour se lève, direction "Praia do Centro"... sympa mais trop peuplée. On bouge a la "Praia do Amor" par les rochers bien évidemment... là ! c'est le top... surf, body, massage et pas trop de monde... Au fait elle est à 100m de l'auberge. La journée passe, une bonne verte est la bienvenue. Yacine aura du mal à dormir, impatient que la nuit passe pour la demi-finale...1-0 pour la France, bravo, on est en finale.

Lucy (France) et Daniel (Argentine) arrivent a l'auberge le soir. Oups! on a oublie de dire que c'était journée "Praia dos Golfinhos"... on nage avec les dauphins à cette occasion... ''ça ne se raconte pas, ça se vit" Après un petit tour en Kayak, on rentre.

06/07/06 

Réveil 4h du mat pour Loïc, à 5h y'a le lever du soleil (splendide) du haut de la colline. 8h! direction "Santuario Ecologico" (Reserve Naturelle en partenariat avec l'UNESCO) qui domine aussi la "Praia dos Golfinhos". Magnifique endroit dont la vue donne directement sur une dizaine de dauphins, là encore ''ça ne se raconte pas ça se vit''. L'impatience est grandissante, il est 9h30, Loïc plonge dans l'eau, les dauphins sont à une dizaine de mètres... zut! ça ne sa raconte pas ça se vit!

11h30. Retrouvailles avec Yacine... café et c'est reparti. Plage pour Yacine, direction centre ville pour Loïc afin d'avancer sur les pages de son livre à la terrasse d'un café. Pas de problème pour ça, il est déjà 14h quand Lucy, Daniel et Yacine s'arrêtent à la terrasse... ils sont à la recherche d'un resto... De suite! Loïc propose le P&F (Prato Feito) qu'il vient de déguster pour 3,5R$. (P&F : Riz, pâtes, haricots rouges, salade et poulet, quel mélange hein! attention c'est culturel!). Le temps passe, il est 17h les pages stagnent, finalement Yacine attend l'ouverture du resto qui est juste en face pour un hamburger. Retour de Lucy... il est 19h.. Yacine "déjeune" enfin. Décidés à rentrer, nous nous faisons inviter par notre coiffeur de Pipa, un p'tit verre de cachaça, ça ne fait pas de mal.. bon digestif!

Arrivés enfin a l'auberge a 21h, ça sent la boucane, la Caïpirinha coule a flot... on finit dans un pub oú nous rejoignons un groupe d'amis (Hollande, Suisse, Brésil et Angleterre). Direction live music.. que du bonheur c'est du Blues, à la guitare, un jeune phénomène de 15 ans... 2h du mat direction "Soirée babylon". A par la "transe" c'était sympa, ambiance cool, toutça au bord de la plage.

07/07/06 

Journée plage, football oblige, Loïc en profite pour se tordre la cheville...rien de grave ! Il est motivé par la soirée reggae. Finalement elle est reportée au lendemain. (Problème, demain il y aussi l'inauguration du nouveau Bar de Pipa ou Paul (super Gringo) a contribué a la faisabilité du projet en tant que Project Manager). Du coup on bouge au "69"... ça vous dis quoi le 69 ? (Oups! 1 lit, un matelas c'était du jamais vu) On en profite pour assister au lever du soleil depuis la terrasse.

08/07/06 

On prend les mêmes et on recommence...Journée plage + foot... la nuit tombe, "il se fait faim", Marina (fraîchement arrivée à l'auberge et amie de Georges) nous cuisine de très bonnes crevettes sautées accompagnées d'une caipirinha. Nous rejoignons Paul, la soirée d'inauguration au "Tribu Bar" semble décoller.. effectivement grosse soirée... c'est la "Pipa Festa".

09/07/06 

Pour la finale de la coupe du monde, on part tous acheter de quoi faire un barbecue et de la caïpirinha. Tout le monde est présent à l'auberge pour supporter l'équipe de France que ça soit les brésiliens, Daniel l'argentin ou même les 2 anglaises. Zizou prend un carton rouge et la France finit par perdre la finale, quelle déception. Ce fut notre soirée la plus calme de Pipa.

Les sacs refait, on prend le dernier déjeuner avec tout le monde, photos de groupe et ciao tout le monde, la route est encore longue, Joao Pessoa nous attend.

We crossed Natal, nice city, but Praia da Pipa is waiting for us, one of the crazest area to be in Brasil. 

03/07/06 

We just took a bus for 2h (what a trip). As usual, paved streets, quite dark but good looking. We have to find a Pousada ( a place to sleep). George, a surfer in his car with his boards, told us that he has got a place for us in front of the beach. he speaks in english, we really look like gringos (foreigners for the brazilians). we found his place ; lovely wooden made house, actually it is a hostel. He is not here but while we are speaking with somebody about prices, he arrived. The guy, Ilias, was a customer as us!

Paul (english) and Pimba (ilha de Fernando de Noronha, Brazil) are playing chess when we are back from the dorm after leaving our backpacks. 2 caipirinhas are waiting for us as a welcome. Then, we lernt how to prepare nice ones, we became specialists. The day after we bought cachaça, lime and ice cubes. First night, little bit tired after the green, we did not go out. Morning, we moved to Praia do centro, nice but crowded. We moved to Praia do Amor by the beach. Better place, surf, massage and less people. We realized that it is only 5min walking from the hostel in the way back. Really quite day, semi-final (Ger-Ita). Italy won. Yacine will have to wait 24h for the next game.

The day after, we left the hostel for a walk to Praia dos Golfinhos where we rent a Kayak ans saw dolphins close to us, swam there, they were 10m far. Coming back to the hostel, we saw France wining against Portugal. Then Lucy from France and Daniel from Argentina arrived from Natal. Loic got up at 4am. At 5am he saw the sun rise, wonderful. 8am, he left for "Santuario Ecologico" (Natural Reserve in partnership with UNESCO) which is just in front of the Praia dos Golfinhos. Again, tens of dolphins are swinming and playing together, nothing more just pleasure. Loïc got in the sea to see them closer. It cannot be written, it has to be seen.

11h30 Yacine and Loïc met each other. Just for a breakfast before the beach, Praia do Amor for Yacine as usual. Loïc went to the center, no worry we will meet each other easily, a book and a caipirinha in a terrace just to chill out. 2pm, Lucy Daniel and Yacine arrived. They are looking for something to eat. Loïc has an idea : a P&F, what he has just had for 3,5R$ (rice, pasta, vegetables, beans and chicken, what a mix of food, it is cultural) After a while, it is 5pm, Loïc stopped reading, speaking with Yacine who is still waiting for a humberger, a special one but the place will open at 6pm. Lucy is back, Yacine got his humberger at 7pm. In the way back, our hairdresser invited us for a iced cachaça just for a tchat with us, he is from Sao Paulo, he speaks a lot. 

At the hostel at 8pm (what a day) the main room is full of caipirinhas. We crashed after that in a pub for some beers with friends from everywhere (Holland, Switzerland, England and Brasil of course). Then everybody is up for the live music, it's only blues with a 15 year old guy playing guitar... 2am, let's move to another place "Babylon night" where actually it is only techno trans, cool ambiance just in front of the beach. 

07/07/06 

We spent the whole day in the beach, playing football, Loïc injured his ankle but no bother he is expecting the reggea night. Actualy we are informed that it is the next day. The problem is that saturday night, there is the openning of the new pub where Paul worked there as the project manager. So, friday night we went to the "69", how expected for a night club in Pipa. There is a bed there, we have never seen that before. At 5am, we saw the sun rise from that place.

08/07/06 

As usual with the same, day on the beach playing football. For the dinner, Marina, who has just arrived, a George's friend, cooked prawns, delicious, some caipirinha for the drinks and then we cought Paul in the new pub : Tribu Bar. Lots of people where there, everybody knows everybody, we spent a crazy night, drinking and dancing, Pipa Festa. Then we moved to the reggea party which was actually brasilian music. The last hours were at the other night club. Caipirinhas is the only drink that we are having. What a night.

09/07/06 

For the final of the world cup, the guys bought everything to prepare a barbecue (meat, bread, cachaça lime and ice cubes). Everybody is supporting France in the hostel, the brazilian, Daniel even the english girls. Zizou got a red card and France lost. What a pity. So it was the most quite night in Pipa for us.

10/07/06 

Staff are packed, last lunch with everybody. Last pics and bye bye Pipa. Joao Pessoa is waiting for us.
